The Microtel Suites Function Hall at Damosa Gateway, Lanang, became the hub of culinary creativity as Trans World Trading Co., Inc. – IPD Food Group, in partnership with the Alliance of Mindanao Bakers, successfully held its Product Launch and Roadshow.

Following the strong turnout of its first roadshow in Baguio, this second leg in Davao gathered more than 70 attendees, ranging from seasoned entrepreneurs and professional bakers to home-based business owners and culinary students. The event highlighted new premium products, innovative techniques, and the shared passion that drives the Philippine baking and culinary industry forward.

A Day of Culinary Demos and Discoveries

The program featured interactive demonstrations led by a distinguished roster of chefs, showcasing premium products from Master Martini, Barry Callebaut, Cross, and GLF:

  • ChoColab: Molding, Modeling & Coloring Chocolates
    Chefs Michelle Ang and Ava Guevarra conducted a chocolate masterclass using Barry Callebaut Maleo 22/24 Cocoa Powder, Shine Dark Buttons, Shine White Buttons, and Cross Oil-Based Colors. Chef Michelle demonstrated chocolate molding and chocolate paste techniques, while Chef Ava engaged participants with her creative approach to cake pops and cakesicles.
  • Bake to Impress & Whip & Paint: Edible Palette Floral Painting
    Chef Charisse Cariño presented a Strawberry Chocolate Cheesecake using Shine Dark Buttons and Maleo Cocoa Powder, while sharing valuable insights on recipe innovation, branding, and entrepreneurship. Chef Pierre Mantalba showcased Edible Palette Knife Floral Painting with GLF Bianco Brio ND Plus and Cross Oil-Based Food Colors, transforming simple cheesecakes into edible works of art.
  • Pasta Like a Pro & Sips of Success
    Chef Ralph Gio Gerapusco elevated savory cuisine with Beef Stroganoff Pasta prepared with GLF Bianco Brio Professional, GLF Bianco Brio Gold, and GLF Cooking & Whipping Creams, emphasizing plating and sauce-making techniques. Chef Nove Sara delighted audiences with café-style beverages including Chocolate Tiramisu Drink and M&M Chocolate Capsule, crafted with GLF Bianco Brio Plus ND, Shine Dark Buttons, and Maleo Cocoa Powder.

The Sweet Taste of Victory

The day culminated with the Chocolate Figure Competition, where participants showcased creativity and craftsmanship using Trans World products. Judging criteria included creativity, execution, presentation, and product usage, combined with online voting. The winners were:

  • Gold Award – Leslie Rodriguez-Angco (Entry #5)
  • Silver Award – Cherrylyn Villotes (Entry #4)
  • Bronze Award – Rose Mae A. Tadtad (Entry #3)
